Hello, I'm Gaspard Merten

I set up RobinDuWeb, and I'm the one who prepares your designs.

Where I come from

I'm an engineer, with a master's degree from the Brussels School of Engineering, and a researcher at ULB's CoDE lab, where I work on Brussels mobility data: trams, trains, shared bikes. I co-founded GiveActions and was its CTO, then built platforms for start-ups and for much larger organisations. RobinDuWeb grew out of that: well-made, light websites their owners can edit themselves.

Why RobinDuWeb

Too many freelancers and small organisations pay every year for a website they no longer dare to touch, and that needs updating for reasons nobody quite explains to them. When they want a change, they're usually asked to sign a quote based on a mock-up. I wanted to do it the other way round: show you your real website, finished, in three versions, and only ask you to pay once you've chosen.

I also wanted websites that are light, hosted in the European Union, don't track your visitors and that you can edit yourself.

How I work

  • I start from what you have

I read through your current website, or listen to what you tell me about your business, before designing anything. I keep your text and photos.

  • I'd rather show you than explain

You get three designs to compare, not a slide deck full of jargon.

  • I stay within reach

Once your site is live, you write to me through the form and I reply by email.

Let's get to know each other over your website

Send me the address of your current site, or tell me you don't have one yet. I'll send you three designs within a few days, free and with no obligation.
